IMPACT, SERVED DAILY
AT KFC AFRICA, WHAT WE SERVE GOES FAR BEYOND CHICKEN.
Across 1,573 restaurants in 22 countries, we're creating opportunity, unlocking potential and building systems that help people grow. In 2025, we opened 100 new restaurants, created 3,500 jobs and helped serve more than 35 million meals to vulnerable children, but the real impact lives in the people behind those numbers. From team members building careers, to suppliers and franchisees creating livelihoods, to children discovering possibility through our programmes, every part of our business is connected. When people grow, communities strengthen.
When communities thrive, economies expand. This is the world we serve and the impact we create together.
THE WAYS WE SERVE
IN 2025, WE TRAINED 9,508 EMPLOYEES ACROSS KFC AFRICA.
Through Streetwise Academy, our zero-tuition education programme, 202 graduates earned accredited qualifications designed to turn jobs into long-term careers. Add Hope served 35 million meals to 167,560 children, while Mini-Cricket reached 119,926 young players across 4,652 schools. Over five years, Women on the Move, our leadership programme focused on accelerating female talent, has developed 171 graduates. Of these 80% have been promoted and five now lead in global roles.
AND SOUTH AFRICANS?
85% see us as sustainable and responsible and 74% say we stand for something bigger than making money. This is impact, measured.

WE SERVE LIVELIHOODS
A job at KFC is often a first. First income. First independence. First step into work. We recruit from the communities where we operate, prioritising first-time job seekers and investing in skills development from day one.
From there, things change. Team members learn customer service, food safety and professional standards. Skills grow through structured training. Confidence builds. Careers take shape, from team member to shift supervisor to restaurant manager and beyond.
One income supports many. Children stay in school. Homes stabilise. Households invest in health and education.
Every restaurant activates a network: builders, suppliers, farmers and service providers. Up to 100 livelihoods are supported through a single store.
Our restaurants become hubs that bring people together and help entire areas grow.
IT STARTS WITH ONE RESTAURANT.
BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THERE.

WE SERVE GROWTH
It took 48 years for KFC Africa to reach $1 billion in revenue. Just six years later, we reached $2 billion.
Every new restaurant employs up to 35 people directly and supports 100 more through suppliers and logistics. We invest in local infrastructure and activate economic activity in surrounding communities.
Our franchise model supports entrepreneurs who reinvest in local economies and build lasting businesses. When the business grows, people grow with it.

WE SERVE PEOPLE

Most of our restaurants are franchised. Impact is delivered daily by partners who live in the communities they serve and understand that success means more than profit.

Olga Bikitsha's Trust
OWNS 30 RESTAURANTS
across the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. Team members who started at entry level now own homes and hold Streetwise Academy qualifications, breaking multigenerational poverty cycles. As an Add Hope trustee, Olga's impact extends throughout entire communities.

Justin Rohloff's Group
OPERATES 103 RESTAURANTS
"We're in the people business. We just happen to sell chicken," he says.
His team members rise from entry level to senior positions, supported by strong incentives and a culture of long-term growth.
FOR BOTH, PEOPLE COME FIRST. ALWAYS.
As a certified Top Employer, our culture isn't something we simply talk about. It's something we live. Every day. In every restaurant.
Led by Chief People, Culture and Purpose Officer Nolo Thobejane, the mission is clear: we serve people by feeding their potential.
KFC Africa invests intentionally in its people, building leadership capability and personal growth. Through Heartstyles, a character development programme, individuals grow in self-awareness and lead more effectively.
Supported by coaching, mentorship and development frameworks, this creates lasting career growth that extends beyond jobs.
THE RESULT?
A culture that grows talent and exports it globally. Success isn't measured in profit. It's in the 40,000 frontline team members who bring the brand to life.
WE SERVE AMBITION
AT KFC, GROWTH ISN'T ALWAYS LINEAR. BUT IT'S ALWAYS POSSIBLE.

EACH COHORT LIFTS THE NEXT. EACH LEADER CREATES SPACE FOR OTHERS. WHEN ONE WOMAN RISES, MANY MORE FOLLOW.
WE SERVE PROGRESS TO THE INDUSTRY
PROGRESS IS INTENTIONALLY CREATED. AT KFC, WE'RE LEVERAGING PARTNERSHIPS, MENTORSHIPS AND EVENTS TO ENABLE FUTURE LEADERS.
For the past three years, KFC has spotlighted 54 leaders driving meaningful change across Africa, turning visibility into real impact.
During Loeries creative week, in partnership with Open Chair, we hosted 60 rising future leaders in marketing and advertising on the Cape Wheel, where KFC leadership shared insights on their career journeys and navigating the workplace.
As founding partners of WIFA, we've also upskilled more than 200 future leaders through masterclasses.
By investing in growth, opening doors to opportunity and creating environments where talent can thrive, we are developing the next generation of leaders who will shape our business, strengthen our communities and inspire lasting progress. Because feeding people's potential means investing in the leaders who will shape tomorrow.

WE SERVE MOMENTUM

THE STREETWISE ACADEMY TURNS JOBS INTO CAREERS THROUGH ACCREDITED LEARNING AND ON-THE-JOB TRAINING.
The first programme of its kind in Africa's quick service restaurant sector, it helps employees build skills, confidence and long-term opportunities by making education more accessible.
Streetwise academy
202 GRADUATES
In 2025, 202 graduates gained accredited skills across seven programmes (NQF 3-7) with zero tuition fees.
Ikusasa Lethu
20 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Through Ikusasa Lethu ("Our Future"), 20 students received scholarships at Curro schools and nine completed their full five-year high school journey.
When people are given the opportunity to learn, they fuel the business, their colleagues and possibility.
WE SERVE POTENTIAL
A FIELD. A TEAM. A CHANCE TO BELONG.
KFC Mini-Cricket has reached more than 2.5 million children across South Africa, building confidence, teaching teamwork and creating belief.
More than 120 players have represented national teams. Seventy-five percent of Proteas Women started here. But the real impact goes beyond sport. It's about helping young people believe in what's possible. By investing early, KFC helps spark confidence, ambition and potential.
AND 10,090 ACTIVE COACHES.
Mini-Cricket bridges cultural divides and builds cohesive communities.

WE SERVE HOPE TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST
WHEN WE GIVE A LITTLE, EVEN JUST THE R2 THAT MILLIONS OF KFC CUSTOMERS CONTRIBUTE TO ADD HOPE, IT BECOMES SOMETHING MUCH BIGGER.
Nearly one in four South African children face food insecurity. Hunger is a gatekeeper to children realising their potential.
Add Hope brings people together: customers, communities and partners, each contributing something that makes a difference.

TOGETHER, WE SERVED 35.5 MILLION MEALS TO 167,560 CHILDREN.
On World Food Day, we open-sourced the Add Hope blueprint through The Biggest Hunger Hack. The winning solution is now being implemented with FoodForward SA. Because when a child is fed, everything changes.

WE SERVE PARTNERSHIP
THIS IS IMPACT THAT'S ONLY POSSIBLE WHEN IT'S DONE TOGETHER.
Through Add Hope partners like the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA), we extend our reach into communities where support is needed most.
PSFA has fed hungry children since 1958. Through Add Hope, its impact has deepened. In 2025, the partnership brought daily breakfasts to more than 5,000 rural children in the Eastern Cape, ensuring they receive up to 80% of their nutritional needs.
This is more than a meal. It's growth monitoring, healthcare access and early childhood development. Powered by simple customer contributions, every R2 goes directly to feeding children with transparency and trust.
ONE GOAL: THAT NO CHILD SHOULD GO HUNGRY.
WE SERVE BEYOND OUR RESTAURANTS
KFC'S IMPACT EXTENDS ACROSS FARMS, SUPPLIERS AND INDUSTRIES.
As we grow, so does the network around us. Supporting entrepreneurs. Creating jobs. Building stronger businesses. Every product we serve touches people. Livelihoods and communities, with a localisation rate of 97.3%.
Country Bird Holdings CEO Brendon de Boer explains the scale: "We employ close to 10,000 people in sub-Saharan Africa. Each supports a family of four or five people and KFC supports even more indirect jobs in crop production and transport."
With stable demand from KFC, suppliers invest in their businesses, expand operations and employ more people. When we get this right, we don't just feed customers. We feed futures across an entire continent.
WE SERVE RESULTS
Peer and Partner
RECOGNITION
In 2025, our work was affirmed through recognition from peers and partners. From industry awards to global certifications, what we're doing is being seen not just for what it achieves but for how it's done.
Redefining
BRAND PURPOSE
Several KFC Africa leaders received awards and recognition and we were named Company of the Year at the 2026 SABRE Awards Africa, recognised for redefining what brand purpose looks like in action.

From International Women's Day to The Biggest Hunger Hack, every campaign delivered impact that matters. Recognition is not the goal. It's the proof that when you invest in people, build strong partnerships and stay focused on purpose, the results follow.
THIS IS KFC AT ITS BEST. BOLD, PROVEN, SCALED.
WE SERVE THE FUTURE
Our commitment extends beyond today. Every restaurant built meets KFC's Building Green global standards, reducing environmental impact, improving energy and water efficiency and building smarter restaurants.
Every operation works toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030. All packaging comes from certified sustainable sources and is fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Our used cooking oil is converted into biodiesel for trucks operated by our logistics partner, Digistics, creating a closed-loop system that reduces waste and carbon emissions.
But feeding the future means more than environmental responsibility. It means investing in the next generation. The future we're feeding isn't abstract. It's the young people we're investing in today.
THIS IS WHAT WE SERVE. EVERY SINGLE DAY.
